Prison Island

Prison Island Located just off the coast of Stone Town, Prison Island is historically significant for its use as a detention center for slaves and later as a quarantine station. Today, it’s a popular spot for giant Aldabra tortoises and snorkeling. Highlights: Giant Tortoises: Originally a gift from the Seychelles, these endangered tortoises can live over 100 years, and visitors get to see and even feed them.
