It is also home to a large population of flamingos that feed along the shores of its alkaline lake. Wildlife and Landscape: The park is diverse in its ecosystems, ranging from groundwater forests to open grasslands and the lake itself. Besides flamingos, the lake attracts many waterbirds, and large troops of baboons can be seen near the forested areas. Hippos, buffaloes, giraffes, and elephants are also common.
